Heidi Levasseur, a member of the Levasseur Association of America, is about to attempt a feat never accomplished. Heidi is a renowned Canadian long distant swimmer and in December, if all goes according to plan, she plans to swim across the Atlantic Ocean from the coast of Africa to the coast of Brazil.

Here are some statistics of the expedition :

Over 3,000km in open sea

6 to 8 hours swim a day

4 to 6 months offshore with an escort vessel and a crew

Over 2 millions strokes

Her objective for attempting this feat is to heighten public awareness about the dire state of the Ocean and the need for the world to become environmentally conscientious

As a member of the Levasseur Association of America, I invite you to visit her website (https://heidilevasseur.ca/projet-atlantica/?lang=en) to see what this achievement requires in terms of logistics, support personnel and the work required to undertake this remarkable task. Heidi needs our support and I encourage you to send her your wishes your of encouragement..
