“More than 1000 photos and documents in the section « Obituaries »”
I have undertaken a major project that has taken considerable work in recent months to integrate new documents into the website’s database. Beyond simply entering personal information of our Levasseur and Carmel families, we felt it was particularly important to complete all these files by adding photos or other documents, transmitted by our members or found as a result of our searches on the Internet.
For example, I have inserted photographs, obituaries, mortuary maps and bookmarks of our deceased in the section “Nécrologies/Obituaries” of our database processing site. More than a thousand images have already been downloaded; hundreds more will be added in the coming months. At this rate, in a short time, we will be able to link tens of thousands of photos or documents to the name of persons listed on the database website. Most of the time, these images will be linked to a person.
When the databases are updated (twice a year), new records compiled by our genealogist, Joceline Levasseur, will be added to the site. We invite you to provide us with information using the genealogical collection form on our website.
