We kindly ask you to allow us approximately 24 hours to process your request. Since our regular activities are carried out by volunteers, they check emails daily and strive to respond as quickly as possible based on their availability.

If you do not receive an acknowledgment of receipt within this timeframe, we invite you to contact us at the following address: [email protected], copying [email protected].

What are the benefits of membership?

The Levasseur Association has embraced digital transformation for many years. As such, all our services are accessible via email and through a members-only section on our website, including access to our databases. We place great importance on protecting your personal information. You can review our Data Protection Charter to learn more.

Option A (Suggested):

Become a member of our dynamic association for as little as $20.00 per year by subscribing with a credit card or via PayPal® with automatic renewal.

Once your registration is validated, you will receive your access codes to the database as well as our Newsletters and Web Capsules, usually within a few hours of your request.

Option B:

For all other payment methods, whether by mail, cash, or direct transfer to our treasurer, only a 2-year membership option is available at a cost of $40.00.

Once completed, please return the form to the postal address indicated at the bottom of the document or hand it to a volunteer of the association, accompanied by your payment. Allow 1 to 2 weeks for processing your request.

You will then receive your access codes as well as an electronic copy of our newsletters via email. A valid email address is required to fully benefit from our services.

Regardless of the payment method used (A or B):

  • Membership fees for Canadian members must be paid in Canadian dollars (CAD).
  • Members from the United States and other countries must pay their fees in US dollars (USD).

Membership Benefits:

  • Receive our newsletters regularly in both French and English (PDF format) via email.
  • Access the complete archives of newsletters published since 1988.
  • Consult the Association’s database, which contains over 140,000 records.
  • Explore the section of old family photos of the Levasseur family.
  • Access the “Obituaries” section, updated regularly.
  • Participate in Levasseur family assemblies and gatherings.
  • Benefit from the assistance of specialists for your historical and genealogical research.
  • Stay informed of the latest advances in DNA research on the Levasseur family and ancestral connections.

Conditions:

  • The Association is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all members’ personal information.
  • Each member must provide a valid email address and inform us of any changes during their subscription period. All official communications will be sent via email and not by mail.
  • A membership subscription made through electronic payment (Option A) is recurring and valid for one year. For example, a member who joins on February 15, 2025, will have their membership expire on February 15, 2026, unless the payment is renewed upon expiration.
  • In contrast, for payments made by check, bank transfer, or cash (Option B), the membership is valid for a minimum of two years. Thus, a member paying on February 15, 2025, will have their membership expire on February 15, 2027.
  • Members must give positive consent to receive occasional electronic messages from the Association (all of a non-commercial nature). They can request removal from our mailing list at any time.
